Snake & Car
Received this set of pictures via the email and they look beautiful. Just thought I’d put it up here to share. If any of you know who this car belongs to and if they are in Malaysia, do let me know, I’d like to contact that person.

The Titan (L) and the King2® getting ready for their evening flight.
On Sunday, met up with Lelek for lunch after my bowling tournament (will post about it later) to discuss some stuff. After our meal and our discussion, we decide to head over to the R/C Air-field near our home to put some air time in the helicopters. So picked up the Titan and King2 and off we went. It was 4pm when we reach the place. As I’ve very little sleep and tired from the tournament, I told him that once the juice ran out of King2, we’ll be out of the place, I want to go home and sleep!

Hovering King2 with Training ‘Wheels’ To discourage crashing
So, plugged in the King2 and turned up the juice and got down to practicing my hovering, this time around, I’ve no fear of crashing the delicate chopter as we installed a training kit on it. Yup. It’s like training wheels but on a Helicopter. The battery lasted about 10minutes before I’ve to put the King2 back on the ground and Lelek got his Titan up into the air within seconds.

Peter putting the finishing touches on his plane.
Also, we met an English couple that came by to fly their newly build plane. Peter was the name of the guy, after getting his plane installed and all system checked, he got himself parked at the best spot and shot his plane off into the air like a rocket. As he got use to the control and speed of the plane, we start throwing request to him to perform, barrel roll, loop-a-loop, low pass and so forth and he happily performed them. Even his wife was impressed by the performance as she commented that he usually would take it slow on the maiden flight of his planes.

The Jet Engine before it was fired up
Oh yeah, by then, a crowd has started to build up as more people start arriving with their own R/Cs, but the attraction of the day was a Jet Turbine that was newly installed. The owner of the turbine set it up on a workbench and got it fired up. The sight and sound was amazing! The sound is deafening, just like the real thing! Well, it is the real thing, the mechanics and the internal components is just the same as the real thing, just shrunked in size to be used on Remote Control Jet planes. Check out the video below for the sight and sound!
Well, took some pictures of the day so click here to view the gallery of pictures.
Friday afternoon proves to be a very unfortunate and lousy afternoon. With my day’s schedule all planned out, I decide to go out and get some treat for my colleagues and drove my car to do so. That little road trip during lunch time prove to be fatal for my car as it’s rear window got smashed.
No one knew what happened or rather, the people that’s just standing around looking at my car is just there to "kepo". None even helped me with removing the windscreen from the car to the rubbish bin, all have to be done by myself. Anyway, I don’t blame them, no one wants to get cut even though I have cut-proof gloves and the window’s covered with a layer of strong tint that clings on to the broken window pane strongly.
After seeking permission to go get my car dropped off at the workshop, I proceed to do the next natural thing while waiting for the Ah Wah (The Workshop’s owner) to quote me the cost of the whole fix. What’s that you might ask? Taking pictures of course. Anyway, it’s part of the process as I’ll be needing to claim from insurance for the damage as it ain’t cheap. The total amount was quoted at RM1,000 and this is using back locally made window panels and not the original Hyundai stuff whic cost more!
Well, have a look at the artistic shots.

Can you see what’s missing?

Yup! It’s the windscreen!

The Shards

Most likely something fell onto my car cause even my speakers are dented

And the culprit tried to remove the evidence resulting in damage to panel as well!

Another angle of the panel that needs to be welded back

The remains of ZeroTohundred’s bomber-man was not good.

Another part of the Bomber-man, May he rest in peace.
This article appeared in Friday’s The Sun newspaper. Just thought that it’s a good enough subject for me to test a camera out with.

Are you into Martial Arts? Those that knows me knows that I’m into martial art. Been practicing until 4 years back and need to stop due to the injury on my leg. But that does not mean I don’t follow what’s going on in the martial art world still.
In fact, one of the topic of conversation whenever my friends and I gather about is about martial arts, the various forms that is getting commercialized as well as the various type of weapons that is out there and of course, what is available to the general public.
10 years back, if you want to buy a numbchucks, you need to find that one specialized store to obtain one, and for me, that one shop that I go to isn’t near and whenever I go and buy a sword or a numbchucks or even my uniforms, I have to put down my personal particulars and contact details just in case they need to contact me.
But these days, you can just walk into any mega malls in town and get one. BUT, one thing that is made clear is what they sell are very common and not the dangerous type. So for the more specialized weapons, you still need to travel abit. Why am I talking about weapons? Well, personally, I learn how to use the numbchucks, Bo, short staff and knives. Even though I like swords, the longest blades I’ve used often is a Gurkha’s knive. IF you’ve no idea what’s a Gurkha’s knive, well. Talk to me and I’ll explain them to you.
Anyway, back to shopping for weapons. For me, I came across extremely-sharp.com that basically sells martial arts weapons online, so instead of travelling around searching for the weapon I like, I can now do it online! Whatever type of makes and designs are available. Browsing through the site, what caught my attention was the katanas available.
Doesn’t it makes you drool looking at the nicely crafted katana? And one thing that is assured is, they are real sharp and can easily slice off an arm if needed. I’m definitely going to get one from them, the only other problem is finding a way to ship them back home.
Apart from all these beautiful equipments for sale, they also have monthly contest and newsletter, am told that this month, they are giving away three sets of throwing knives! THREE! I wonder if I’m lucky enough to win one.
Look at the beatiful design, I’m sure they are beautifully weighted to give you that excellent aim. As I’ve not own one of these yet, so I can’t testify on the performance but looking at the picture, my heart is pounding with pure excitement. IF you like what you see, then don’t wait and join their monthly contest and newsletter. May the best man wins of course, and if any of you won, do let me know, cause I’d like to have a go at the knives.
In the meantime, I’m going to check out the Katana collection. One of the items I always love to own is a Sword of War Full Tang Katana and Sword Set.
