Bowling Tournament

I posted on the twitter that on Sunday, I was sponsored to represent the Segambut Division Youth team for the Datuk Tan Chai Ho Bowling Tournament held at UE3. The day started of with the usual breakfast with the team mates and at 9am, we proceed to the bowling alley to register ourself and change into our uniform.

My team & I

The usual speech and stuff got under way and by the time the first player get to roll. It’s already 11am.

How did the game go? I would say quite well but we could have done better. Some of the team-mates have not played for some time so the average points wasn’t that good.

The target is within my sight

Personally, I didn’t have a good first game as well with the final points way below my usual average. The following games was much better when I chalked up an average of 155points for the 3 games I played. Yes, it isn’t good enough still but heck, I’m lack of sleep and we were there to just enjoy ourselves.

We were in Lane 17

What’s the final result? I won’t tell you the total pinfall but I’m proud to say that we were placed number 11th, the previous year, we were 12th, so gain 1 spot. I’m sure with a bit more hard work and maybe set a training program for the coming year, we could move further forward. My aim for the team is to be in the top 5, along with the other strong teams like Bukit Bintang 1 and 2 which always comes up as champions.

My team was sponsored by Ling Hee Keat, the brother of Datuk Ling Hee Leong. Hee Keat is also the Youth Chief of the Segambut Division. So a big thank you for your kind sponsorship. For more pictures of the event, click here!
