Rhino Rescue

Did you know that the Sumatran Rhino is one of five known species of the rhinoceros family and is considered a Malaysian heritage, being the only rhino species found in Malaysia. It is also “the most seriously endangered species of large mammals in the world” with only an estimated 300 of them left in the world.

If that shocked you, then you should work on doing something about it. Right? Honda is doing that through the Honda – WWF Rhino Rescue Project and it is high time that all of us should chip in and do something as well.

Just a background on this project. In January 2006, Honda initiated the Honda – WWF Rhino Rescue Project and pledged RM5,000,000 over a period of 5 years to save the Sumatran Rhino. The project marked the very first corporate sponsorship dedicated to the Sumatran Rhino.

This morning, I received like all the other nuffnangers out there, an email from Nuffnang urging us to put our blogging "talent" together to spread the word, and get everyone who CARES to do something about it.

Even children is getting into the act of saving our environment, shouldn’t we do something about it as well? And how we can support Honda in the "Rhino Rescue" project? Honda will be implementing many on-ground activities to raise awareness on the importance of protecting our natural heritage and the environment. And what we can do is, look out for their events and take that opportunity for the to contribute our effort with the hope that what we do will bring a positive impact towards the project and society.
