Guess who’s coming to  town this weekend?

In conjunction with the KUNG FU DUNK movie, there’ll be a Kung-fu Dunk UTH Fest happening at 1Utama’s Central Park Avenue.

Why this free plug? Simple, I’m going to be there as one of the Official Photographer for the event and Jay Chou. So to all those who knows me, come along, let’s have some fun on that day.

HK Sex Scandal: Edison Chen, Bobo Chan, Gillian Chung

The whole world’s talking about these 3 and if you still haven’t heard about it, then you’d have to come out from your cave. Which 3 are we talking about? It’s Edison Chen, Gillian Chung (one of the TWINS) and Bobo Chan. Jumping along the bandwagon, we must say that HK artistes are getting more and more daring as well as careless with what they do behind closed doors.

Cecilia Cheung and Edison

It’s just plain careless for such footages to fall onto the wrong hands and well, as we can see across the internet, such "news" can spread like wild fire. According to some source, Edison made someone angry and that someone manage to get the photos from Edison’s lost phone. As usual, you pissed of a person, it’s just natural that the person wants to get back at you. And when you’re someone famous like Edison, wouldn’t it be hurtful if the attack is on your reputation? Of course, when such thing happened, whoever that was involved will also be dragged into this hot soup that is overflowing everywhere. The latest footages that appeared on the net was found to have been originated from Thailand, and Interpol has been alerted. Rumours say it was taken from a 13min video.

Edison Chen and Gillian Chung

Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG) representing both Edison Chen and Gillian Chung have insisted that the photos are doctored and have made a police report. Cecilia too have done likewise through her manager. No mention from Bobo who had already retired from showbiz in 2006 and is less widely known than the other two outside of Hong Kong. Even though there are no conclusive evidence that these photos are doctored, practically all the media in Hong Kong are saying it is and you can guess EEG is trying to play down the mess that Edison had created.

Edison Chen and Bobo Chan

Do you think it’s a hoax or real?

Some Photoshop users also shared their opinion on why those photos are real.
(The following contents are compiled from various sources.)

1. the color hue and saturation for both persons are the same, proves that they are taken under the same lighting condition. besides, there’re a few pictures of the same series with the same lighting, it is extremely difficult for someone to fake a few pictures of the same lighting even with the best skills.

2. the pixelation of both persons are the same, if you blow up the picture you can see the pixelation and spread of color pixels. they are consistent throughout all the pictures.

3. the blackest and whitest intensity of the two persons in all the pictures are at the same level and consistent throughout

4. the angle of both persons from the camera in all the pictures are the same, it is very difficult to fake angle of camera because different photos have different camera angles, the angle can easily give away if the photo is fake,

5. if you observed the edge of both persons, you can see the level of blurness and pixelation are the same for both persons for all the pictures

6. the posture at the bed obviously shows edison chan having sex (in the series with gillian), and gillian’s head is extremely difficult to be photoshopped at so many different angles to such realism

7.edison chan seem to have a liking to take picture during/after sex while looking at the camera, which is consistent throughout the pictures

8. it seem that bobo chan is looking at the same angle with edison chan at the camera, while gillian probably did not know she was taken picture throughout the pictures of her

9. gillian’s foot shape is the same with her other normal photos, as proven in the first pic.

UPDATE!
Earlier today, I received a JPEG file supposedly containing the original EXIF of the photos which can be used to proof the authenticity of the photo. (But the only best way to say that it’s really real is by getting our hands on the RAW of the photo) Have a look at this screen cap I did earlier. What do you think?

YL Camera Annual Dinner @ @ Restaurant Ngai Fung

Yesterday, I was given the priviledge to attend the Annual Dinner of YL Camera. A Small closed door dinner held to thank the photographers and industry players that has been with YL Camera. To me, it was a nice time to catch up with some fellow photographers and talk about photography.

As for the food, it was quite good, not often we would get to eat such a combination of dishes when we go out for dinners. These was what we ate:

Yee Sang (After all, it’s close to CNY) with extra slices of Fish

Buddha Jumping Over The Wall – Excellent !

Suckling Piglets – One of my favorite dishes

FISH! (Sorry but I forgot the name of this dish)

Fried Curry Prawns – The prawn’s quite fresh and the meat just goes out of it’s shell and into your mouth with ease

Prosperity Veg. – Can’t comment about it as I’m not a vege person

Claypot Chicken Rice – I can’t comment about this dish as by now, I’m bloated with alcohol

Desserts  – Sesame Ball with Lotus Paste and  Lotus with Red Beans

Dessert – I don’t know what it’s called but it’s quite soothing to the body.

Most important thing about this dinner is not only the food but the chance for everyone to mingle about, get to know one another better and have a good time.

Ah Hong (one of the YL Brothers) along with Ah Ping entertained the guests with songs after songs after songs from the start of the dinner until the end. Fantastic, reminds me of the band Beyond!

Of course, they can’t hog all the mics to themselves to they got in some of the fellas to sing as well…

And to close the night with a toast, one of the group decide to have a photo session but the others was a tad shy, what to do, often we are behind the camera and not used to be in front of the camera.

Thanks for the wonderful dinner YL Camera.

Lust, Caution - The Deleted Scene

This post is deemed unsuitable for anyone who gets offended by sex scenes in movies.

If you are one of them scroll to the next post NOW!

As for those of you who went to watch the movie and complained that the Malaysian Cinema has cut off that one scene all want to watch, well, here’s the video.

Again I stress, watch it only if you want to watch it and don’t come and complain later on cause I didn’t put a gun on your head and ask you to watch.

Now why would I want to post this video here? Well, people’s been talking and talking about Dr. Chua Soi Lek’s video over and over again. Now, if you want to watch a 60year old guy have sex, might as well watch something better right?

QuikSilver Revolution 2.0 - Show Stoppers

Here’s the last of my ‘official’ series. The Show Stoppers.

Why I named it that way? Simple, when the bands goes on stage, the other show stops, the skater stop skating, the surfers stop surfing. All the attention was towards the stage.

This time around, there’s no such boy bands as Click Five (Thank God). Instead, QuikSilver Revolution 2.0 was entertained by Pop Shuvit (sorry guys, didn’t take any photos as that’s when I went for my dinner), One Buck Short, Joe Flizzow, Stylustiks DJs (Also no photos of them as I was busy at the Halfpipe) and ending the night was Futon.

It took awhile for the crowd to warm up to each performers but by each band’s 2nd song, you’d see people dancing, headbanging and singing along to the performances.

The Futon’s set was rocking cause even the MPSJ officers was there and taking their opportunity to snap loads of photos. For what purposes? Only they will know.

Futon performed only 6 songs before they say good bye as they had to cut the show short. They had like about 10 – 13 songs on their playlist. The crowd was disappointed as the band said good night but hey, it was already 11pm and all good things must eventually come to an end. For the larger photos, you can find them here
