Ferrari wins in Malaysia!

Excellent race at the Sepang circuit with the rain cloud holding back even up til now. Ferrari got off to a strong start with both cars leading all the way from start to finish.

Massa screwed up and beached himself so that presented Kubica and Heikki the 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Ferrari missed out on maximum points too because of that error.

Kimi kept his cool though and brings his no. 1 car all the way to the flag and up to the top step of the podium. Woo Hoo FERRARI WON!

Lewis got screwed by his pit crew (not actually their fault though.. I think it’s faulty equipments) so his team-mate took that chance and showed McLaren that there’s another Flying Finn waiting to step up when he needs to. Anyway, it’s a GREAT RACE, Fantastic win to Ferrari! Can’t wait for the next race.

My Ferrari photos are in the other computer, so I’m putting in the next best thing that usually accompanies all motor racing events. Hope you guys like them. emoticon

The Malaysian F1 GP

Less than 6 hours, that’s how long I have to wait from now until the sound of F1 Cars goes flying about the Sepang F1 circuit.

Are you as excited as I am? Massa takes pole with Kimi at the 2nd grid. Heikki outraced Lewis to take 3rd. What more can I ask for in an F1 qualifying? It’s fantastic!

Now, let’s hope it doesn’t rain so that my ASTRO won’t be disrupted. You know how it’s like, comes rain, ASTRO goes havoc and I’ll lose the reception and miss the race. :( Will it be a Wet and Wild race or a Blitzing Hot race later?

Malaysia considering night race

This is an interesting news for Formula 1 in Malaysia that I gather from F1racing.net…

Malaysian authorities are considering the prospect of holding their Grand Prix at night in the future, but only if the price is right. Singapore will make F1 history this autumn when it hosts F1’s first ever night race.

We have actually been talking aboug a night race with Bernie Ecclestone since September 2006," Dato Mokhzani Mahatir, chairman of the Sepang circuit told the Bangkok Post. "Since then he has spoken with Singapore and Melbourne as he’d like to see the F1 broadcast from here in Europe at a more decent hour. Having a race in Asia at night makes sense for that."

"Singapore and Melbourne are temporary street circuits whereas we are a permanent facility," he added. "Putting up lighting systems would allow us to hire the circuit out more."

The best thing is, Malaysian Marshalls already had experiences handling Night races with the yearly held Merdeka Endurance Race, now it’s just a matter of installing better lighting systems to light up the skies for the F1 cars to see (unless there’s a new ruling to install headlights on F1 cars (?)).

Would you go to the Sepang Track to watch an F1 race in the night?

Dear friends,

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Happy Chinese New Year. Will update once I’m back from CNY Holiday, which would be somewhere on Saturday or Sunday. Until then, Have a Great time and win more in your CNY ‘ventures’.

Michael

PS. Oh yes, one last thing before I sign off. CJ7 is coming out soon, go watch it as it’ll worth every sens for a good laugh, Stephen Chow did a good job in this movie playing with not only comedy but some drama as well. Won’t reveal much, let’s just say when the scene is up for laughing, you’ll be laughing like mad and at scenes where tears are shed, you’ll shed some tears (or you’d still be wiping the tears from your laughters). Go watch!

Rakan Muda Van

Quite some time back, in fact, way back in November, if you read the local malay dailies. There’s a report on a van to be produced for Rakan Muda as part of their Go-Mobile program. Guess who’s team built it?

Anyway, the process of ‘pimping’ up the van took a good 2 weeks of long hours to complete. When I say long hours, it really is long hours. The workshops barely had time to rest every night before they have to continue again the next morning.

But nevertheless, towards the end of November, the van was ready, shown to the Minister of Youth and Sports for a quick pre-launch peek and on the 1st of December, was unveiled at Bukit Bintang to great fanfare. Alot of people was impressed with the detailed put into the whole thing, from the cabinets to the A/V System.

If you’ve been watching MTV’s Pimp My Ride, this is quite close to it. The Malaysian version! Minus the TV Coverage though. Anyway, I’ve uploaded the whole process of the build so click here to have a view.
