OK, since helping my colleague find the previous video, couldn’t help checking out her other latest songs (after all, try hanging around waiting for your crew to arrive with nothing else to do), and here’s one that she did of Britney’s Gimme More…
I would say, it’s way better than the Britney version. Don’t believe? Listen for yourself.
This is posted for a few friends that still doesn’t know how to use the Youtube. LOL. Just to ease their search. Here’s the videos.
It’s Rihanna’s Umbrella. Check out the original version and the one by Marie Digby. Which do you think sound better?

It’s been awhile since I last watch a good Hong Kong movie and I was at the special screening of Oxide Pang’s The Detective, starring Aaron Kwok in the leading role.
This is one movie that IMHO, combines Thriller, Comedy, Horror and Mystery all into one good package. What this movie is about? It’s about Aaron Kwok’s character, Tam, as a Private Investigator who is in such dire straits financially that he takes a really crappy case just to pay the bills. One day, a guy nicknamed Fatty asks Tam to find a lady who wanted to kill him. He left Tam a portrait of the lady without giving any details. Tam could not resist the money and starts the investigation. He identified the lady as Sum who is a frequent mahjong player.
Tam starts tracking her whereabouts through her mahjong playmates, but he is shocked to find each of them murdered every time he is about to be in contact with them. He discovers a half-burned photo at one of the scenes.
Tam realises the suspicions behind the deaths and decides that he has to protect the next target of the invisible murderer. The photo is the only clue for Tam to uncover the case.
Want to know how it ends? Go watch the movie. Like I said, it’s one of the better Hong Kong movies I’ve watched this year so far. I’m still traumatized by Choy and May’s movie 881: The Papaya Sisters. The Detective has given me some hope in chinese movies again.
Here’s a trailer of the movie for you to have a taste.
Short Note: I would like to inform whoever that is concerned about the Kittens that I wrote about last week, according to the new owner, 2 of the Kittens has passed away and the sole surviving Kitten is getting very weak, we fear that it might not make it past today.

Jazz fans, if you weren’t at Groove Junction on the recent Friday and Saturday, you’ve missed a great performance from an excellent band.
Lewis Pragasam, a prominent Malaysian musician played LIVE at Groove Junction with his Asia Beat team and the place was packed with fans who enjoy his unique style of Jazz.
I did not expect to be there in the first place as the initial plan was just to meet up with a few friends at Souled Out Cafe for dinner and just to catch up on things. Well, Lucky me, we decide to move the entourage of 4 to Groove Junction after dinner.

The night has host of musicians turning up on those two nights to perform with Asia Beat but I wasn’t there to listen to all of them. As I was there straight from work, it’s the weariness that takes the toll. Nevertheless, even the short time I was there listening to them perform is fantastic enough to make my day.

Lewis Pragasam also has a new album on sale, if you are a fan of his style of music, check out Urban Beyond. On my end, you can view the pictures I took that night here.
